i have been into terriers for a good while now and done the terrierwork for three different packs me and me pals dig a few night a week also when we can.i had visited a few shows over the summer months and listened to a lot of people spouting off about how good there dogs are i even had a guy that must of been thirty stone go on about how he had just dug ten feet to a dog of his what took five hours to complete must of been some hole and after listening to him he shook my hand with baby soft skin ten foot my arse.we all keep a simular way bred terrrier one that has been tried and tested to the full and any quitter will not see a second chance why cant people be like this instead of breeding non worker to non worker(maybe they do work but not how they should)before long due to not all but a great many the old breeds will be long gone.all because these so called terriermen have not the heart to shoot the inferior because the looks will win shows.i heard the other day a man that breeds black dogs and shows a lot has to double up on fox i mean what the fxxks that all about anyway lets have your veiws

FELLTERRIER, THE QUESTION YOU HAVE PUT UP ON YOUR POST, ALMOST ANY GOOD TERRIERMAN HAS ASKED IT TO HIMSELF ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. LADS KEEP AND EXCEPT DIFFERENT STANDARDS OF TERRIERS. I DONT ATTEND SHOWS BUT I CAN ONLY THINK YOU WOULD MEET SOME "GREAT STORY TELLERS THERE".

Fools and there money are easily parted,there are to many people paying good money ,without knowing anything about the sire and dam or seeing them working,or the line they come from .As long as there is a demand from people like this ,puppy pedlars will have a field day.As long as you are truthfull to yourself with the dogs in your yard and there ability i dont really see a problem .There will alsways be wanabees and messers and peddlars.

let them buy from buy from the peddlers most of them would shit a brick if they had a good earth dog ,it would frighten them to death ,they are not into terriers for digging ,let them have there shit dogs and take them to shows and talk shit . real dgging dogs rarely end up with these type of people it shouldnt matter how many dogs they sell no genuine dog man is ever going to cross them into there terriers, let them get on with it

the trouble is this game unfortunately has a lot of dickhead in it i have been a round terriers for about 30 years meet alot people the true digging men are in it for the long term and the dickhead fade away and what we call workingdogs and what theycall working dog are two differant things as for doubleing up on a fox it says it all i think thelonger you have terriers the more you wont from them only the best will do years ago i went out with a fellow who used to throw stones in the eye to get the dog to enter and then bred puppies and called them workers only a few weeks ago a feelow i was working with owned a lovely chocolate lakeland his first dog and was doing exactly the same to encourage the dog in the hole now all the dog wants to do is chase stones needless to say when he rings i am out
