Well the misses didn’t like the hymer to big and left hooker so never bothered, but still been keeping an eye on things over the last year mind changing from one thing to another have looked at everything from a Winnie baygo  to a c15 Roma home but hard finding the right size with all the features you require then I spotted this thing, la strada ,never heard of them but done some research and seems a top end German outfit, still going today and with a uk owners club which helps, the van has a drop down double bed in the roof nice cooker fridge etc decent bathroom with shower air con blown air heating full solar seats four and sleeps four all in a sprinter base, needs a few bits of bodywork sorting but recon I can double or even treble my money come summer after chucking a couple more quid at it because I bought it for silly cheap money

It does and it does but things like that don’t really phase me as I live in a boat and the two things that always play up is heating and water pumps so have done many and seen many, the chinks make cheap copy’s of everything now, so far only things I know of need sorting are re gassing the air con, shower/ tap headset leaking and a few areas of paint work, but I,m a realist and sure I will find more as I go through, glutton for punishment me love boats land rovers and now this lol

First thing we changed on ours ,was the washers on the tap/shower heads...cost pennies TBF...my brother(20 stone elephant )cracked the shower tray, wrecked up at Boomtown 🙈 found a lad who re-coats them with a protective spray( same stuff they weatherproof the rear tubs on the pick ups)charged me £450 ,lots cheaper than cutting out the whole tray and replacing and sealing...used a new outlet and cut out the old rotten boards underneath and replaced with 18 mm marine ply then under sealed with that sholtzs stuff...only other issue, was finding a glass cooker hood( opened the  cupboard and my kettle fell out and blew it to bits🙈 wasn't cheap at £350🙄..there's a little sensor(safety nipple)that clicks down when you lift the glass hood.... without that you can't use any gas appliances... You have more of a clue than me,any little jobs you can do yourself, and save a few quid...looks a nice bus mate, you gonna get it out and try it out before selling it on?👍

It's a difficult one that mate because is it really a family holiday location? I'd love it but not sure if the kids would? There's Lake Garda, Sicily, what do you reckon?

Lake Garda is stunning,we stayed in Verona (recommended) and had a day at lake garda,my lady loves the place, but as you pointed out I don't think it's a family with children type destination. We haven't been to sicily, not somewhere that's ever interested me to be honest.Enjoy your trip wherever you go.
