If a war with Iran and America and therefore Britain becomes a reality which is looking more and more like a real possibility if the shit show in palestine continues would you lads be happy with British troops fighting another war for American interests.

Erdoğan has stated  in parliament that his country would not be prepared to watch the annihilation of Palestinians. The middle east is always a powder keg ready to blow. Much more so now. So many potential players with different agendae.

Now, there’s an interesting question !

For me, the short answer without boring the arse off everyone would have to be “No”

It would be the normal, lads fighting for interests the benefit of which they will never see with one arm tied behind their back.

At last I agree with you. Enough british blood has been shed on American instruction.

A US battle group can wipe a country of the face of the earth, they have about 6 !

It could easily turn into a massive clusterfcuk which will in turn see more Middle Eastern refugees flood into Europe and into the welcoming arms of the UK government.

Sometimes you need to be careful what you wish for.

It wa a clip on YouTube. He got a standing ovation in parliament. But that was 2 weeks ago and they've done sweet nothing. It's just grandstanding. From what I can make out Erdoğan is pretty tame despite his rhetoric.

Turkey are a Nato member, Nato is the backbone of their own defence ,highly unlikely they'll do anything.

That’s happening anyway imho mate, at this present time with this present group of Western European politicians….what difference would it make ?

If anything the only benefit is it may accelerate tension and apprehension amongst indigenous Europeans and make them get out an vote ?……all a hypothetical scenario of course

Here's a question . Slightly off thread but still relevantish. How did we arrive at a situation where we are America's gopher? We've probably all seen the clip where Bush was chomping on a chicken leg and Blair was standing at the side like an apologetic waiter which really sums it up.

What are the historical reasons we ended up on the wrong end of this power relationship? Even are new bulletins are American centric and not Europe centric. Any answers?
