Yes blacks or negroes or people of colour, or whatever they prefer to be called have different body shapes and suffer disproportionately from sickle cell anaemia, but labs  often suffer from hip dysplasia whilst greyhounds hardly ever do. They are both dogs.

Anyway I'm out of this debate. I know from long experience  that discussing race with Wilf is pointless.

It's like trying to persuade me that the monarchy is worthwhile and the public school system is a jolly good institution. Some things are non negotiable for certain people and no amount of argument will persuade them otherwise. Good night chaps.

I’ve never understood why the Jews are hated universally, yes, I know the Christian’s hate them because they blame them for crucifying Jesus, but why do the rest of the world hate them ? 
In very recent history, the Arabs and Muslims never hated them, they considered   them “people of the book” like Christian’s and Muslims and there were big Jewish communities in places like Iran , Syria, Iraq , Yemen, etc. it’s only since the formation of Israel that the Arabs started hating them.

Real anti semitism didn’t start until the 18th century in Russia and Europe,again, I don’t know why.

Could it be that they consider themselves a race, a nation and a religion, something that other “multi cultural “ countries don’t ?

Just a thought.

Yes , there are other races and nationalities who suffer from sickle cell, but it's predominantly negroes, and people with African heritage, ( Spain has a huge Moorish population), but it is very rare in caucasians.

God knows, but they are a drain,  and nothing goes outside there circle.. the way they come across very snotty and still hanging onto the “we must never forget” bullshit. They are not the only ones who have suffered throughout history.

How is all going to end..??..................is there going to be a final solution (where have i heard that before)....or is it once again going to be tinkering at the edges again.............Israel are already on record saying they would nuke Iran....have they really got the balls ?

i think this will go on for another couple of months ...then it will go back to normal.....aid and support to gaza from the world ..EU and WHO...UN....

it all seems to me like another..( or it will be) a mexican standoff

i know what i would like to do..but if i did i would be locked up and the key thrown away

Same I don’t think anything will happen, Palestine will be bombed to feck loads will die then it will be life as normal.

I enjoy the conversation, and the reparte', but I sometimes have to bite my tongue when I read people pontificating on things they have no idea about !

But that doesn't mean that everyone can't have an opinion or say on what's happening in their lives, and I appreciate everyone's opinion, even though I may not agree with it.

As long as it's argument without rancour, I'll happily engage with it !
