mackem 26,946
I was on a pier earlier this year, chatting to some guys fishing and watching the pelicans I wasnβt even focusing on the bird that dove and picked up a mackerel until it was flying off.Best place to see them in Europe is right now on Gibraltar as they gather to cross the straits to Morocco and Africa beyond, possible to see dozens in a day.
ryaldinhio 4,683
When I was a kid my old man used to take me to a place near Carlisle called Lonsdale lakes on fishing holiday every May. Saw an Osprey there on more than one trip. Too young at the time to realise what a rare sight it was!!!!
