I see a lot of people use a radio in there bird rooms what’s the benefit of this does it just keep them calmer

It can stop them getting scared of sudden noises like fireworks through the night. I don't bother personally but I do have a cd going to train my young mules until they have moulted out.

Keeps them calm and they can pick up different notes off it but I never bothered with one

Birds pick up too when radios on too. Mad that on a morning when timer comes on to turn everything on lights , humidifier,  radio they pick up.
