Rolling back net zero, scrapping, at least some of, HS2, decrying multiculturalism and illegal immigration........all very laudable, but they've had 13 years to do something, so why now ? Could it be that they are 20 points behind Labour and a General Election is rapidly coming up ? All rhetoric, they'll do nothing about any of it and we will end up with aLabour government they will throw the borders open and take us back into the EU and freedom of movement ! A pox on both their houses......... Cheers. 16 1

Daniel cain 45,593
So lets get this right...they will grant you asylum because of your sexual orientation?

It used to be you could apply for asylum if you "feared persecution ". Now you can apply for asylum if you "fear discrimination". A subtle, but huge difference. DIDO.1 22,844
Being female in a country that discriminates against women is enough. Fck me we have foreign criminals still here that were due to be deported in 2015..... we can't even get rid of those that have no basis to be here and have lost their 3 appeals 1
jukel123 8,239
Braverman is playing a clever game. She is criticising a situation which has been overseen and created by her own party. Why have the tories lost control over immigration? Answer, because they don't give a damn. Its a very lòw priority for them. They have promised immigration in the "tens of thousands " by three different tory leaders since 2010. However recently, they have dropped that promise and now talk about " reducing" immigration". So it's rich for a tory to be pointing out the failures of her own party as though out _of _control immigration is something only she has noticed. As for multiculturalism what has her contribution to British society? She went from school to uni, to a brief job in law, to government and now believes she's entitled to tell us all what to think. She has never made anything, never grafted. She has ,allegedly, learned her way around the expenses gravy train pretty quick too. At the same time she put the country's security at risk by sending unprotected government emails from her home address. She's a gift for the russians and others. She's a member of some Buddhist sect which is riddled with sexual abuse. We've got enough religions with our own sexual abusers without importing Eastern versions. That's another multicultural gift to the nation we could do without. Perhaps she could suggest putting money into upskilling our own workforce so the need for immigration is much reduced. The UK has relied on cheap labour for decades. Its cheaper and easily disposed of. And there's an endless supply which drives down worker's rights and pay thresholds. It would also be a good idea to employ more immigration employees to deal with the immigration backlog. The tories slashed the number of immigration staff when Osborne and Cameron blitzed the whole country with unprecedented spending cuts during the austerity years. She is some chancer. Just for clarity, this is a main party thing not just a Tory thing. Neither of them has ever had the slightest intention of protecting Britain and British people. They have sold us out economically, socially, culturally, religiously and historically. These people are one and the same cancer ! All mandated by the people that vote for them !

Perhaps if Labours Blair and Mandelson hadn’t thrown the borders open to “rub the rights noses in diversity “; or maybe if Labours Starmer didn’t oppose things like the Rwanda policy and everything else proposed to tackle illegal immigration we wouldn’t be in this position ? Of course, NONE of the major parties , Tory, Labour, LibDems, SNP, want to do anything about immigration, legal and illegal. Its only empty rhetoric, designed to fool the voters. As I said previously; a pox on ALL There houses ! Cheers.
