My story is pretty similar to be honest. It left me with a deep mistrust of most people in authority, and an instinct to attack anyone that threatened me or mine in any way . It took me a long time to lose that instinct to go on the attack if I felt threatened. It also took a lot of , love , understanding, and tolerance, from those close to me. Lots of people say that school days were the happiest of their lives . Well I'm 55years old now , and I'd still rather work 12 hours a day , than go back to school . 2
Bakerboy 4,736
Theres a big difference between a bit of a caning or the dap and an all out assault on a child, I had both regularly used to bite my cheek and smirk when they'd finished
paulus 26
It was pretty much the same for me when i was at school, But i have to admit i was not the easiest kid to teach as i did not conform to the curriculum they were trying to teach, So i rebelled, quite badly at times, No punishment made any difference, and believe me they tried all of them over the years, In the end when i was about 15 one teacher took me aside and basically said, if i never turned up for a lesson ever again, Then they would not be unhappy. The problem was from the age of 12 or so. i had no interest in it, My eldest lad was about the same but the big difference with him was by this time they had other routes to offer him, By 14 he was doing a woodwork apprentice at college. By 19 he was a fully qualified wood machinist. I hated School from the age of 12 and i have to say, i learnt far more after leaving school than they could have taught me in a million years. Mine seemed to think that it was one of the kids . It's funny really . I'd happily go to a farm and shoot 100s of , rooks , crows , pigeons etc , but if I found one with a broken wing , I'd bring it home , and look after it until it could fly away again. I must have shot many thousands of rabbits over the years , but , if I run one over with the car , I feel like the world's biggest b*****d, and it bothers me all day . 2
