Looked like easy money to me

Recommended Posts

Had to take the eldest grandson to a birthday party this afternoon, It was one of them animal themed ones, The bloke who had been hired was very good with the kids, He had brought with him, A Royal Python, 2 rats, A Skink, A Skunk, a couple of millipedes. 3 hissing cockroaches, an hedgehog looking thing and a tarantula, He was there for an hour and a half. His fee was £200. Sounds like easy money to me if you can get the bookings.

I once found a "hedgehog looking thing" in my back garden in Saudi Arabia.

It didn't look like the hedgehogs I knew so after a bit of research it turned out to be a Madagasgan Tenrec.

I can only assume, as I lived near the Red Sea port of Jeddah that it had arrived in a shipment and wandered off and arrived in my garden !

Cheers.

Was called rural science when I was a kid, we had bees, ponds, vegetables  and greenhouses outside and various things in tanks and vivariums in the classroom, we also had the ruler, dap, cane and occasionally a smack in the mouth if you really stepped out of line, oh the good old days
