Whispering Whiskey 66 1,071
I was out lamping Saturday night dog had a good go, when a got home a noticed she was limping a little so gave her a check over to find she had cut part of her pad weather off the stubble I don’t no but it don’t seem to be healing. I was going to glue it but thought it will heal 4 days later, it just looks like it’s not gonna meand as I hoped and now it’s to late to glue? Any ideas do I leave it longer? Do I muzzle the dog and cut it off ? Will it bleed like fuk? Or vets job only seems little to me like. What’s ye thoughts cheers Edited September 20, 2023 by Whispering Whiskey 66 Quote Link to post
Deerhunter1 771
It will heal, but you’re looking at a few weeks rather than days. The joys of running dogs in September Edited September 20, 2023 by Deerhunter1 5 Quote Link to post
Chaff 3,590
If were just a cut pad then clean up with salt water and cover over lead walk for 3 weeks or so but not sure if that will join up with that flappy bit mate. Could be a visit to the money extractor 1 Quote Link to post
chartpolski 23,279
If you feel confident, snip off the loose bit, give it a thorough clean, keep it clean and let nature take its course until it's healed. If you're not confident, see a vet and be prepared to be ripped off ! Cheers. 3 Quote Link to post

Walks on lead only. Be right in 2-3weeks. Dont waste your money at the vets! 1 Quote Link to post

gaza 508
I had the same similar size/depth…self inflicted from loose broken tile in van. Gave it weeks to heal and would to an extent and then open again. So glued in the end and vet wrapped. Fine since. 1 Quote Link to post
