Room is about the size of my girlfriend's closet but other then that the crew is super cool captain has been training me him self and got my first transfer today smaller load apparently only 25,000 barrels of crude but hay it's one out of the 5 I need to request going back to school. Wouldn't mind the raise either. Making pretty good right now but when you got a new roof , interior work, a wedding ring , and guns to buy , Every bit helps. Also down to a 20/10 vs 28/14 schedule which the gf is super happy about O and yeah I did come better prepared this time. Got one of these little $20 dock demon rods their really made for 5yr olds to fish off of dock with for bream and stuff but their built like any other ugly stick rod and I've seen people using this to fish for 50lbs + cat fish of fo kayaks so figured it would be enough for jigging off the side of the boat. Got a bunch of crappie jigs and other small lure and the like . I'm in brackish water again and really don't know what the hell I'd catch but figured something that looks like a small edible invertebrate would be good. And so far a white curly tail with a pink high head is doing really good on..... whatever these little guys are Their mean as shit to anything smaller then them I'll tell you that much caught like 15 in a half hour just pitching it out and slow retrieving a few feet off the boat. Heck alot of the time I'll see little ones grab it and swim around with it for a few feet . Too small to even get hooked That being said though theirs bigger fish around. Heck had the rod out jig dead on the bottom just sitting there was trying to txt the gf and next thing you know my drag is screaming and after a a little 3 min fight ( fun as hell on this little rod , had it bent almost is a circle ) pulled up this slimy ass hat Also had a group of boat some by. Few smaller fishing boats and a larger pontoon boat. Folks dressed all in white and had some kinda chanting music playing, the kind you'd her at like a Catholic mass or something. Went by us and up into a slip. Now this is an industrial area and like....you just don't do shit like that. like at all... gave off really big cult vibes. But apparently their a group that goes around periodically blessing the fleet and various boats in it that that was one of their usually stops. Idk kinda weird but after talking to some friends from around the country apparently it's not uncommon where theirs a big maritime community and Catholics. Wish I could have gotten a pic. Anny how I've been up since 6a.m it's almost 10p.m.now and I'm finally off shift I'll post if something interesting happens, peoel seem to like these posts for some reason so 23 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Cap said we did a great job yesterday go take a break however you want. Three minutes later he come down in the galley with his rod talking about he can see a monster of a flounder buy the bank and he's gonna try and catch it so we both out her tossing out some baits 3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
