tatsblisters 9,689
Sounds an interesting evening. When I was a member of the Yorkshire falconry club we used to have speakers come at the monthly meetings at the Rockingham Arms at Wentworth. One was a chap called Brian Patterson from the Midlands who did an interesting talk.

We add a week at Blair Athol ourselves. My friend who passed away used to do the ferreting for a Cheshire hawking club , they used to go to Biggar. He would ferret all day and they wud let him lamp his dog on the night. I never got an invite as I was considered a bit of a rogue by a few members lol . I did go up on my own tho at some point and met sarah Moffat through my mate .

I remember ferretting around a nearby caravan park in a pine wood and another wood were you could see the castle that holiday was through Brian Patterson and he had secured permission to fly on their but I remember the lad's with the Harris hawks been disappointed as due to the deer cull we were not allowed up on the moor to have a crack at the blue hares.

And me, I could relay my vivid Timothy Taylors Landlord and Carlsberg mix induced dream which featured 3 car loads one of which had ridiculously high volume makina booming out the window of people screeching up to my camp
