Shit start to season.

We’ll horrendous start …… 1 month of 2 years done great little bits last season showed difference between line bred coursing stuff and just saluki xs 

jogging out miles regularly building up out with kids on a Wednesday night 29th aug trying to get them to settle in van seen one sent him over fence ran well yet hit the same fence 1.5 min later that he cleared got of kept running 

lesson learnt don’t be to keen….. ground was still to hard choose better ground maybe …. vets robbing gits……. Vets also crucial to the fact that he’ll run fit again start November which suit him when grounds wet

Lesson learnt as you say I used to be the same until 1 night I lost 2 decent young dogs in an rta nothing to do with the ground I know but I rule I stick to now and thar is ware the 5th of September lamp way after it if you have to or do what ever after it bad omen

Nice looking dog, without a doubt line bred coursing stuff is the way to go for hares, but for all other quarry I’d rather the just normal saluki lurcher

First line bred I’ve had eye opener couldn’t catch a rabbit in phone box only caught one at 8 months old since then nothing although we’ve no rabbits apart from one field beside caravan park must be 500 in the field at night tried him on the lamp and was half hour before I got him back 

nose like a beagle looses sight he puts nose to ground hunts up and flushes again follow in to cover and push out strip woods or game crops those opinions based on one half season entering and not taking it seriously just letting him knock them up and run 

I’m truthful when it comes to dog’s negatives hunts up to much for me if it came on top you could t call him back pretend your walking out …. Other hand see that as he needs the graft three times a week 

I’ve had 3/4 saluki grey bitch that was as obedient as a lab retrieve pheasants on shoot days to hand retrieve rabbits on lamp to hand except first two hare straight to hand and track roe of the lamp after sighting there eye and keeping lamp of she was remarkable ….. could kill a hare daytime up here in small fields didn’t have the initial pace to get on top before first bend 

bad toes bleeding nail beds when has a big run even and I care for them proper tooth brush potassium permanganate water mix every time he’s mud on his feet 

first dog I’ve had in 18 years matured a lot slower than my saluki cross bitches which I always favoured bitches over dogs 

Has to piss or shit on grass and has two separate shits instead of his one (me being petty) 

will jump a fence running but won’t if your stood beside 

 

outstanding with the kids such an easy dog to live with his faults looking forward depend on me being keen enough to give him the work
