BGD 6,431
Get rid of the bull breeds and the dickheads will just move on to kangals and ovcharkas etc it's already happening in some areas. Probably end up with any dog that won't fit in a handbag banned by next year

Let's be honest it's the type of person that's the problem....but as a nation we are forbidden from stereotyping types of person....hence these issues can never be properly addressed

BGD 6,431
As with most things in this country it's a problem of enforcement not legislation. The laws are on the books to deal with the issues of irresponsible breeders and dickheads with out of control dogs off lead in public etc but they're not enforced.

It'll be like the whole "pit type" thing and depending on how heavily it's actually enforced could be the end of large bull breeds in the UK. 5

Same thing happened with the 91DDA, they wouldn't accept that the a.p.b.t. was a breed so it was added as "pit bull type" anything over the KC Stafford standard height was basically of that type. They took more family pets, X breeds than they did genuine a.p.b.t's. But I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the 91dda was the best thing that happened to the genuine bulldog at the time i.m.o. it took them out of the hands of the idiots and those breeding indiscriminately, and left them with those who kept them for their original purpose and under the radar for a while. Unfortunately, it turned full circle and here we are again! I make you right on defining an XL bull, I think anyone owning any large bull type will soon be running the risk of they're door coming in early morning... Lurchers? Knives are more or less banned. 6 month sentence for having almost any knife without good reason. All lock knives banned. All dogs can bite (obviously some are more dangerous then others) some people say lurchers should be muzzled as there a danger to wildlife

Yokel Couldn't agree with you more regards the DDA pal it nipped it in the bud at the right time before there was a load of genuine dogs in the hands of Joe Public and the real lads just cracked on under the radar as it had always been. The difference this time around is we're absolutely flooded with these XL bullys already, enforcement is going to be a huge job.
