have you seen that if you do not comply it will be a 15k fine and 12 months in prison.must also have all energy effiecient appliances and a heat pump.if you have a gas boiler you will not be able to sell your house.smart meters will also have to be fitted.what does that little lot add up to for each and every property ?.

The bill, draconian  as it is, doesn’t actually say that, but it does give this and all future governments the right to make it law to have heat pumps and all the rest , without a vote in parliament.

It also gives them the right to send an inspector to your house if you want to sell it, and will block the sale if it doesn’t reach the energy efficiency standard, which hasn’t been set yet, until it is brought up to whatever standard they deem appropriate at the time.

Only 19 MP’s, including Jacob Rees Mogg, voted against this bill. 
It has now went to the House of Lords for ratification, let’s hope they add so many amendments that it is cancelled.
