Cheers. Is it inaccurate then thinking that smaller weight class dogs have earlier pace? I know your comparing to peds there but I mean in general that smaller dogs are away quicker. I don’t think, in general , that smaller dogs have better early pace, some have, some haven’t, let’s not forget theses dogs are bred to do one thing, and one thing only; run 150 yards in the quickest possible time. Some are good trappers, some have early pace, some are good finishers ! Only the very best have it all, whatever weight class they are in . Cheers. 3 Quote Link to post

You still have regular whippet racing or non ped charts im just over the cheviots love to get down sure it’s only Falkirk up here for the whippets we used to go to Stirling loved it as a kid whippets bloody screaming from boots of cars all morning and afternoon they had a bath filled at side of track for the odd time one slipped a muzzle and got hold of lure game little dogs started my love for field sports where my introduction id love a whippet greyhound maybe 3/4 whippet x grey something that looks like it can graft I can remember when I was 14 wanting to travel further afield back then we could mooch 2 mile radius of the town and be out morning till tea time and out again after all summer round as young lads I got my grandpa to drive me 4 miles down the road to moss the rabbits and slipped on my first hare that was love at first site needless to say there wasn’t a bend out in and I took that poor dog back 4 nights in a row to that field and had to wash my grandpas car every Sunday for a month as fuel money 4 Quote Link to post
