dew claws

getting a little heated in here :laugh:

 

i put up a topic on dew claws and got told to cut them off at the base when they are 1 or 2 days old my dogs had a few problems with them so i thought i would get them off the litter i am having soon

ok mate whatever you reckon. so how do you explain the fact that grass and dirt get caught in there after a bit run and he natually wears them out? i never cut them. Does this sound like he never uses them?

If grass and dirt get caught in then wich it does, means in my eye's that they are a problem waiting to happen becauce they dont serve any perpouce at all just a useles nail atatched to the leg waiting to get ripped of, ive had it done and had to wait ages for them to heal, so now if i have pup's i take them off, and id bet most good coursing men do the same :whistling:
