lurchergrrl 1,441
Not necessarily for hunting, but just a countryside mooch. Spring is nice 'cause everything is growing. Summer is good 'cause it's not cold (usually). Autumn ranks pretty high with the nice colours. But for me, I have to say it's winter. Just back from a windy walk with the grey. I like to get into the woods, and it's easiest in the winter when you can go to places that are too overgrown otherwise. The sound of roaring wind and all the tree branches clacking together, the vibrant greens of the moss, the lack of designer dogs all makes for a really refreshing mooch. I was nearly crushed by a falling branch tho It crashed down onto where I'd been standing five seconds after I moved. So, winter/spring/summer/autumn, and why? Anybody got any good scenery pics? moxy 617
Autumn has to be my favourate, not too hot not too cold nice colours on the trees and the brilliant crispness of the air on an autumnul misty morning. Good harvest time for wild fruits and nuts, you cant beat it

The Sporting Agent 0
Winter winter winter!! Love the changing of the season from autumn to winter, the sharp cold, crisp frosts, clear skyes and of course the snows.........we just don't get that much of it these days! :-(
Simoman 110
Autumn and winter are obviously good as you can get out and hunt. I love summer evenings spent relaxing in the garden with a BBQ and beer after a long walk through the forrest with the family and dogs.
Andrea 2
Spring for me, it's like everything's being reborn, after the barren months of winter. plus the evenings are lighter which means more training with the youngster

SNAP SHOT 194
Has to be winter for me too, as in the summer isuffer from severe hayfever this last four years for some obscure reason, it's the worst inflection anybody could have in the summer, runny eyes, can't wait till summer not.....................
