ryaldinhio 4,502
Thats all the bacon processed now. Most of it has been in the smoker for 10hrs today. Done some thick bacon chops with the belly pork instead of streaky bacon. Busy weekend! 14

Nice one pal. Now is the time to make yourself a small bed and get some onions or shallots in the ground for next yr aswell, don't need a massive space if you only wanna knock up few jars of pickles.....but so satisfying, you won't regret it

Not really but I couldn't find onions this year by the time I thought of it. Bought her some leeks but I'm guessing they didn't make it...

I got Japanese winter onion sets from Amazon. £4:25 for 50 but there was actually more than 70 in each of the three packs I bought. Now is the perfect time to get them planted . Also a good time to get the garlic planted . Cheers.

These are 4.5month now, probably keep em another month and get em done before Xmas. My last ones I kept until Jan and was loads of fat on em, which is just wasted feed and money. They reckon anything from 20weeks. Mine are 18wk now.
