Saw an 'out of town' episode with Jack hargreaves where he grafted three different types of apple onto a tree so it produced 4 different types of apple that were ready to harvest at different points in the season, some early, some mid, some late, all from one tree. I think most fruit trees are grafted on to crabapple root stock , you can get apples and pears on same tree been grafted on to crabapple root stock 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
