I have been considering the same but opted against as I don't really have the land here for keeping all year, they would have to go down the road to my other field. Plus it's that all year commitment and feeding, buying 2 or 3 weaners and growing them on for a few months works best for me personally.

Be interested to know how you get on with having them in pig 👍

Gave an old chap on the boats some egg trays earlier in the year he said it was to seed his potato’s just had a knock on the door and he gave me all this from his allotments, couple kilos of spuds load of baby beets nice bag of toms and a cucumber, it’s nice to be nice sometimes

Christ, wants to be hoped you don't get pulled over 😅.

I had mine slaughtered and butchered and sausages done. Wasn't a lot more for the butchering and sausages to be fair.

Just made a little bowl up to go with the barbie I,m about to fire up baby beets toms,onions,cucumber all pulled from the ground yesterday apart from the pasta lol

My missus make makes pasta sauce with the excess tomatoes and a bit of onion and garlic and freezes it .

Yeah thats our plan aswell pal, although we are guna look at wet canning to make it shelf stable. I'm thinking of building a store. Just a breeze block shed well insulated no windows or anything. Just shelved out. That would be fine for storing surplus veg over winter and anything we have canned. Freezers for meat and blanched veg too.

Got pigs back today the meat is beautiful no bore taint , got about 560 sausage from half pig will put some pic up tomorrow pal
