Like I said , I'm still not convinced about breeding populations,  because I haven't seen evidence with my own eyes , but I'm convinced about the big cat in the video because I saw it , and it was a big cat.

A couple of days before Christmas,  I got a video of a pine marten on the trailcam in my woodland . It's only a short video. But it's plain to see that it's a pine marten . I was showing the video to one of the neighbours along the valley ( hes adamant that no pine martens are in the area), and all he could say was , how can you tell it's a pine marten ? , it could be a stoat or a weasel , or a polecat . All I can say is that it's a pine marten , because you can clearly see that it's a pine marten .

If anyone has wattsapp and can post videos , pm me your number , and you can put the video up for me . It's just to show that even when someone can see clear evidence,  with their own eyes , they still won't believe it.

Bit of stretch though from a Pine Martin & a Panther though. Years back there wasn't any Buzzards or Red Kites up our way but I wouldn't have been shocked if someone told me they had seen them before it was known. 

If you are convinced that you have seen a big cat then you don't need convincing, what cat was it then if you don't mind me asking?

I couldn't tell you what cat it was , because I haven't got the foggiest idea , I could tell you that it wasn't a lion or a tiger , or a domestic moggy though.

Telling you about the pine marten video was just an example , of how some people still won't believe clear evidence,  even when they're looking at it with their own eyes.

I haven't got a dog in this fight , I'm just saying what I've seen .

I don't mean to sound condescending but perhaps you might be mistaken, especially if you can't say what it was? I'd be able to tell in an instant if I saw a leopard or a puma. Was it on thermal, if so that's not the most reliable footage you can look at.

There’s only one thick c**t here and it’s you, if the camera was in night mode you would be hard pressed to identify the exact species as there is no colour but only people that actually get off there arses and get out and do it would no that to a sofa surfing expert like yourself it’s all a bit confusing really, better off staying in your lane you dumb arse

I really couldn't tell you what it was goly . If I could tell you , I would . All I can say is that it was that typical panther shape , it was a dark colour ( but didnt look black), and it was muntjac deer size , and not domestic cat size , and  It's on a trail cam , at night , with ir . It walks past the camera at probably 20 feet ish away , freezes for a couple of seconds and looks at the camera ( im guessing the camera made a sound), then just wanders off , in no particular hurry . I've seen plenty of , fallow , red , and muntie , footage , from the same cam , that's been in position for years.

I can't really say any more than that , other than , I've known the fella for a lot of years , and even if I hadnt seen the footage with my own eyes , I would have still believed him.
