Goly 845 Posted Monday at 14:07 Report Share Posted Monday at 14:07 (edited) Interesting, reading my book, Jaguars are sympatric with Pumas throughout their range of Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and they don't mate with them in the wild. If there was a wild population of cats of different species, it's highly unlikely that they are breeding hybrids here in the UK. If Jaguars and Pumas don't mate despite living together and being genetically closest matched to each other then there's not much more to say.

Was the claims of hybrids in the uk mentioned with puma & jaguar ? Or was the hybrid talk about different cat species . I'm may be way wrong but isn't the savannahs cat hybridised in captivity ? Like I say I may be wrong , I've git memory of a goldfish
