Do me a favour Tomo me old mucker.... give Jeff Burrell a "quick" ring would ya and ask him what's the difference between a lurcher, tumbler, Smithfield, Norfolk and a "Anglo - stealthund" please pal

Good to see that lads are still debating various subjects,...it kinda gives an old enthusiast a wee bit of hope.....? Back in the day,...I bred several litters of nondescript , roustabout working

I’d rather a pup went to someone like that than most dog men, better than seeing them passed about

As it goes that rough lurcher in the add i put up ain't a bad looking thing and if it is what it says it is with obedience etc then it may well be worth a punt..

Your probably right never seen a dog doing a tumble when it catches a rabbit

Its a dog that throws during a chase, The tumble thing is just a marketing ploy Lol

Looks very similar to the one I saw slate grey in colour maybe thicker jacket strong stamp but racy with it

That picture is out Ted Walshes first edition lurchers and long dogs first published in 77 and it's evident the rough haired types were more common back then.
