Dawn B 212
Can you not syringe it straight into its mouth? May seem daft and Im not familiar with giving meds to Birds, but wondered if it would be possible? Quote Link to post
SPAR 2
What I did when I had to give antibiotics to my Spar is get a chick open its mouth and pump it down the chicks gob. Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Yep thats a cracking method spar ! another method is by Crop Tube straight into the bird Bigbulls. just get a syringe and a peice of fish tank pump tube or simular about 3 - 4 inches long, you can then draw it up and straight into the birds crop, Mind you .3 Mil is a small amount and would probebly be best given the way spar suggested. This is a tube I use but its on the large side compared to one needed for most things Quote Link to post

I take it you dont de-yoke your chicks ? If so then what I would do is de-yoke the first chick you are going to give the bird just squeeze the chicks chest so that the egg yoke pops out of the chicks backside. Once you have done that it should leave a small hole where the yoke has come from then just put a few drops inside the chick that way. By the way what is the name of the antibiotics that the vet gave you. Hope this helps you Quote Link to post

bigbulls 26
Thats the easiest way millet, my female does the same its a bit harder with small birds though. it is a lot different with the little uns as you say, our 2lb 5 female necks stuff with ease, but my little male ( 1lb 4 3/4) has to pull at a chicks head a bit most of the time. the vets invoice says "baytril injection" i was also told to spray it with "hib scrub" Quote Link to post
FPO 0
I know nothing about birds, but if you are worried about loosing the liquid could you not mix it with somthing like flour to thicken it a bit before you add to the meat? could it then maybe be mixed to mince rather than solid lumps? like i said I know nothing about birds so if this is not plausable sorry!
