Its No fun, needing eyes in your arsehole, wondering if a dog's gonna f**k off and start pulling stock ... Be it a runner or terriers?

So you lads don’t think working dogs need broken to livestock? Things must have changed from when I started with dogs then because any working dog that wasn’t sound round sheep was always seen as a li

Sheep, just background noise.

Was a greyhound for sale on here recently & the lad said he hadn’t broke it to sheep don’t remember him getting any stick over it, bit of double standards

Not really pal ,the greyhound as far as we know wasnt broke to sheep but hadnt attacked any ,this dog obviously has form for it ,plus the greyhound which was well bred was offered cheaper than £500 ,so not double standards at all ,more like no standards  ?

You reckon if that greyhound was let off the lead in a field full of sheep it wouldn’t have attacked one? Price and breeding doesn’t come in to it, if a persons had a pup with the intention of working it and they’ve not broke it to stock then they’ve not done right by the dog whatever way you spin it

At least they’re honest tbf

There not letting it of the lead it’s dying with frustration he never put the time into it to stock break it to start with …… it becomes fully mature and sees something running it’s a sighthound course it’s blood going to be up!

I’ve had a 7 year old bitch that was bomb proof slip up when out on the heather when one jumped out in front of her  ran maybe 20 yards before pulling up but if that was at night on the lamp she’d run a rabbit through a herd of them

there taking piss with the price it’s feet are probably flat as a pancake and sat in a kennel whining wasting away but really if a decent dog man took a punt and put the time in that could be gotten rid of

no once else agree on that if your nephew upped and left you with a three year old dog with decent breeding and a fault that he’s definitely contributed to would you not at least try before giving it the long walk which I btw would have no issue with doing but only after I tried
