Meindl Bhutan top boots I’ve two pairs of zamberlan (hunter and some welted fell boots. I rate them

Are the fell boots the old style, I've got a pair of William Lennon field boots which I like, but they're nothing like a modern pair of walking boots

Ye they are the old ones. Pretty heavy but good solid boots

Bit more meaty the the Scarpa.

Well I emailed Scarpa and they what me to send the boots back to them, going to send postage. They are about 8 or 9 years old so don't think they will do anything. I my view boot should not just fail and fall apart but should wear out.

Any way lads many thanks for all the input.

Well result. I a wrote a very polite emailed saying although Wifeys boots were well out of warranty I felt the soles should wear out rather than totally fail and fall apart. They emailed me a postal form and a question form and ask me to send them back which I did. As the boots were about 8 years old didn't think much would happen if I'm honest. They emailed me to say the sole had delaminated and the would replace the boots. Sure enough yesterday they turned up.

Cant say fairer than that, was well surprised.

On the railway we use German Steitz boots they get a lot of abuse are comfortable and don’t break and I’ve walked up some of the Brecons in them with good socks obviously and no problems at all, also use all winter over the farm shooting ect.

Sake hope you're sending the other two pairs back, or send Scarpa back for a refund ?

She did send the first pair of Meindl boots back and got refund. Second pair she has worn so she's keeping them the Scarpa lol are two small so she has had the cheek to ask for the next size up. They said no problem and even sent a postage DPD free postage back to them I cant believe how good they had been.

The Wife likes the lightness of the Scarpa boots so who knows what will happen.

Will keep you guys informed on the saga as it unfolds Lol.
