sparky the hunter 72
I have been falling in love with the old 10/22 again! As the crops and grass are so long at present i just find im not needing the range of the .17hmr at the moment, got 4 rabbits and a magpie on this session so happy ferrets and happy farmer. Anyone else still loving the .22? Quote Link to post
samboy 304
Yep me. I've got a CZ 452 and a CZ 457 both .22s. 452 Parker Hale mod 457 SAK mod. Both got simmons Aetec scopes. Love em. 1 Quote Link to post
FOXHUNTER 5,021
Always loved my .22 mate , very versatile and has accounted for thousands of rabbits and hares. Ruger 77/22 .. Not a bad .22 session 1 Quote Link to post
The one 8,475
I do as well and it seems the price of 22 ammo has come down Quote Link to post
sparky the hunter 72
What prices are people paying for subsonics these days? Quote Link to post
sparky the hunter 72
That looks like a busy day FH 1 Quote Link to post
Dervburner 2,549
The .22’s are what I use the most. Anschutz 1417 bolt & CZ 511 semi-auto and ammo from bb caps to hyper velocity with everything in between makes them very versatile vermin tools. Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
Love the .22 but not the .22lr , but .22 FAC air far more versatile, 1 Quote Link to post

Don't forget the shot shells! .22 LR +fieldcraft x by the art of holdover/under = proper hunting 1 Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
Love my .22LR (2 rifles and 1 pistol at the moment, had 3 rifles a while back but that was just plain greedy) Has many uses and very versatile! 1 Quote Link to post

sparky the hunter 72
Dervburner what kind of range are you taking vermin at with the hyper,s Quote Link to post
philpot 4,981
Not used the .22lr for a while preferring the .22 fac air but started to use it again with a smile on my face. I think I am going to sell the Sako Quad HMR/ Wildcat mod with spare .22 WMR barrel as it is just used, not one shot this year. I have always fancied the .22 10/22 semi auto but heard bad things about them jamming etc. Phil Quote Link to post
sparky the hunter 72
I get the odd stoppage but after modifying the back of the breech block it isnt much of a problem, need to keep the magazines clean though. Sako quad is a nice thing any pictures? Do you swap the barrel often and does the .22 WMR shoot well? Quote Link to post
