chartpolski 24,087
I went to see a working steam driven beam engine in Ballarat Australia. When I worked for British Engines in the early 70’s we had a steam driven lathe that was used for metal spraying, it couldn’t be electric driven because of the metal dust in the air could cause a short. Cheers.

Borr 6,167
I lived opposite knoll hill steam rally as a young kid , used to get free entry. Father used to make horse brasses and steam engine brasses for them , was quite impressive to watch the engines as a youngster
Gypsydog94 4,607
Mate of mine got two full size traction engines. Something about the smell of a steam engine. Biggest problem they are having is getting decent coal at a decent price.
