I'm not ashamed to say I fell for it hook line and sinker at the beginning, what I'm struggling with now is how no one is questioning why this killer virus that had the whole world shut down almost disappeared overnight. Some people are questioning it but not the right ones. The whole mainstream media and political class basically backed lockdowns and forced experimental vaccination which means to now say that those things were wrong is to admit they were wrong which politicians will never do and the media will only do if told to do so by a court. This means as usual basically everyone in power says nothing and hopes it all goes away. The scary thing is that now they have done it once watch them use it again, next up climate lockdowns. Unless you’re rich. Then do what you like and f**k the environment.

Keep 70% of the population in lockdown compliant by paying them 80% or full wage and the other 30% have to keep the wheels turning but cant be non compliant because everything is shut down so have no option. You imagine them saying to the local pubs, shops, small business now with the current climate of high fuel, utility bills, produce costs etc where most are considering jacking anyway, were going into lockdown and are going to pay you 80% of your income again for six months, the shutters would be down before you could blink.

Jonjon79 13,358
The first lockdown was ok - I had 5 months off on full basic pay during a really good summer. ........ I spent the time wisely by learning how to paint and wall paper better, drink during the day without getting pissed until it was dark outside and, how to barbecue vegetables I wouldn't want another lockdown though. 2
Borr 6,180
I was the same going from working away all the time , lucky enough to get couple of grants , spent an amazing summer with kids, paddling pools and BBQs , missus has allotment so kids spent loads of time up there. It was a once in a lifetime for me, missus did loads of school work with kids, Obviously time lost with my late father was a big negative, but that aside it was good times....

Spot on post i was in the same boat both me and the wife never had a day off all way through it me in a logistics warehouse and her in a mental health care unit and what i did witness was the worst in some neighbours and people in general. I feel embarrassed now to think i was took in by all the government and other authorities shite especially being a veteran of the 84/85 miners strike when misinformation was peddled by the government and main stream media.

We had lock downs and most businesses were closed. It was under a law that had been on the books for something like 75 years. Covid hit my county hard, and bodies had to be stored temporarily in refrigerated vans in hospital parking lots. Basically it was the biggest medical crisis since the Spanish Flu. They struggled to manage it and our health system was overwhelmed. If you want to take issue with something. Maybe look at how unprepared we all were.

I saw some trailers myself. Also spoke with a few emergency room nurses. I think it was legit. I'm not sure what else to say about it. What surprised me was how quickly we ran out of medical supplies and how quickly hospitals closed up shop. Never thought something like that would happen.
