Do you miss it or still play, you got acoustic, or still play electric, just mean having the odd strum for 1/2 at home. PS thanks for the few tips regards playing, yeh once drop on the chords clean/quick, I know it get easier to play the acoustic guitar, OK the uke easier to play with 4 strings, my guitar 6 strings , and you are 100%right it's practice practice deff, the bloke teaching me said, the more hours you put in the better you get, and yeh I deff bug for it, I love this ( tanglewood 6 string guitar) love playing it Singing and playing acoustic mate... Don't play in a band anymore, but occasionally pick the guitar up, not as often as i should or would like. I do miss playing, its hard work and takes up a lot of time, but its a brilliant when it goes well... Just keep at it mate, when things really click it becomes quite natural, then you try and progress again and hit another wall...it can get frustrating at.times, but worth sticking at..

I tend to agree, I think basic manners and a bit of confidence gets you where you want in life...I dont think parenting comes natural to any of us mate, I had a bit of a wake up call when Fin was a baby and Mrs was pregnant with Isla, I had to change a bit to keep the family, coming from an unusual upbringing it was important to me so I made the effort...ego and bullshit had to be put to one side lol Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up mate my priorities were wrong and something i'll regret till my deathbed, she was right all along ......some things you just have to get right first time so fair do's long may it continue.

Now i not daft i know at my age it aways going to up hill battle learning these instruments , there massive difference a man 70 learning something than a kid, or teenager , young bloke .? like said ive done quite well on the uke, and as you know the uke only a small guitar fact. regards guitar , if i can get to the same level by xmas , as i am with my uke, i be happy tha be 10 months by then . the bloke who teaching said learning lyrics is as hard learning to play, because unless you know the song inside / out and playing them regular you forget words, i singer ok, if that all he doing but doing is quite skillful .But your right you got get your chords easy/clean , get that sorted , then learn feckin words to the songs .But being honest mate , i only took this up 10 months age the uke, and now the guitar , just to fill bit of my time in the day, and it deff does that i do 1 1/2 hour every day, and fly by deff. now i dont work lurchers no more , Buck a old dog, so got bit more time on me hands , i am crap but i like playing mate . if you want drop me a pm about your playing days in bands , i like read about it . Ray I think thats great its always good to keep testing yourself, some of the hardest battles we have are against ourselves im constantly challenging myself even down to silly little things just for the sake of it i remember one boring afternoon in one of the queens houses deciding im going to teach myself how to juggle......i got 3 rolled up socks and just kept slinging them in the air making a mess until i got it right ....its very simple achievement but i think you need that in life.....id love to be able to play the guitar and have tried numerous times but its one that got the better of me unfortunately my hands just aint built for finesse and the older we get the harder it gets of course.......anyway,good for you Bird.....master it then move onto the next challenge
