I think all fuels don’t last long now days I used super unleaded 97/97ron to get my little project going but that’s still got ethanol in it….few of my mates who run 2stroke enduro bikes told me to run race gas on the little kx I’ve got but don’t think my pockets are that deep and feck knows we’re id get it from or if I can store it

Youre probably right mate but I know when I boughta px last year all the engine seals were brittle and the fuel pipe which wasnt the black ethonol resistant stuff had actually rotted that bad that when I disconnected it it fell in half.Even with the E5 suff I turn my petrol off and let them tick over till they cut out now so as to not leave any fuel laying in the carb or pipe if I might not be using that scooter for a few weeks and I drain them all out before the winter now

32-1. Leave the needle alone, leave the pilot jet alone. Tune with the the main jet and air screw, The plug will tell you if the mixture is correct. a nice medium brown is what you are after. The mixture will need altering depending on what you are doing with the bike. If you are racing it then you might need to go up to 20/1. Trial riding then 32-1 is fine. That's using a mineral based oil,

the old dt before my time paulus but i wouldn’t run any 2 stroke i’ve ever had on 20-1 like you say in thread it will foul up

I thought that.Even the highly tuned really high revving stuff I only go 3%at the most.I always use a good quality fully synthetic 2stroke though.cant get my head around the lads who use cheaper quality stuff to save 4 or 5 quid a litre on 2stroke

that’s it enough for a tiny bit a blue smoke out the back your good

id always use good 2 stroke

to much your smoking like f**k hard to start bogging always fouling plugs

i had a dt125 r and must a knocked the 2 stroke pipe of locked it up on way home from work put it back on fired up no issues lol was lucky i recon

even on the differnet cr or ktm  i only ever used 100ml to a jerry can give it a good shake and in it went

like you said i would alway run carb dry

id get full seasons out of rings never had big ends go just start it cruise threw the gears slow warm engine right up before any hammering was the main thing to keep a 2 stroke good
