Drink can be evil and changes people without them or others realising where the problem is coming from. I feel so much healthier having stopped drinking, my sleep has improved 10 fold. It's rare I have more than 1 pint a week now and that's just out of habit and enjoying calling in country pubs

I’ve been packed up drinking nearly 30 years, I have a drink now and again at a social occasion (last one was 5 years ago ! Lol ) but other than that I wouldn’t thank you for it.

Never been into drugs, coke is rife now and lads I never thought would be into it ate at it, each to their own but they lie and try and cover up when you're in their company, I guess they are embarrassed as a mid 40s bloke with a family shoving shit up their nose in a pub bog...classy! Lol

Like a drink in good company, never drink just for drinkings sake, but if there is a good craic, bit of music etc then I enjoy a pint or 2...

Without sounding all " London is best " as the place has turned into a toilet recently but im pretty sure London does lead the way in terms of fashion/trends etc the different drugs through the years have found their way up the country a few years later than they started down here but from what im seeing now its actually health and fitness amongst youngsters thats the " in thing " ....your average crackhead gets the piss taken out of them now in favour of whats the latest vitamin supplement....trends change.

I agree with that, all the young lads are into the gym now, its more for aesthetics than fitness Imo though... flexing in a mirror on a tik tok or Instagram video gets the attention they require... no difference to us in our day I guess, but if you didn't have a bit of yap you had little chance, flexing in the pub got you ripped to shreds and told to stop acting the twat...now its done thing!

I never thought I would say this but seeing all the crime and brocken people around my way the war on illegal drugs is definitely lost is it now the time to leagalise them part of me to an extent thinks so. I have also seen as many lives ruined and lost a few mates through drink.

more lost through drink than all the other substances put together.
