teilky 0
Tell the truth pal they will refuse it if the guns are in the same house as your dad,its not law but thats what the police do!If you can get a friends house ect them you will get it .then reapply after 6-8 month to move the shotguns to your house. They cant revoke for that.Seem it done a few times.but let them say if you had somewhere to keep them first ,then say well jim bob would ........ect andy Edited January 31, 2008 by teilky Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
Look at this way i aint got one now, used to have a sgc fac .My wife no previous should and could have one , but i stay here so in law they cant refuse her , but they will saying (its not you but your husband has been refused before and he stays here) Ps wife does not want one lol but thats how it works i have no experience of the police forces in scotland. my father was refused an sgc and when in i applied i put his address down as where the guns would be stored and as my home address(my mother wouldnt let me keep them with her) and all i had to prove was that i had sole access to them. this is what they should do by law! so bending the law as you seem to be implying is simply wrong. e.g. if they have a reason ro believe you are only applying for a cert to let your father have guns then that would come under you not having a good reason, but if they come to the conclusion that you have a genuine reason for wanting them, a secure store, a valid countersign, you pass their checks and pay the fee and still refuse you it would be unlawful. its been said many a time on this forum before that once you meet their criteria they have to grant you one. is this not true? if this happen coney catcher as i said before contact BASC or similar, theyve helped me with applications in past (FAC). ss06 Quote Link to post
