I think most realise that mate, its the alternative that fills most people with dread, I would personally rather the head of state be a monarchy like our Royal family than an elected head of state, I dont want a Tony Blair, Boris Johnson type head of state or God forbid a Doreen Lawrence, sadiq khan or even celebrity types, we're gonna be paying for them whoever is in the job 2

Doesnt sit right with me mate but i prefer the former ( Monarchy ) to the latter ( elected ), I dont know the figures but I believe with money coming in the monarchy are as good as self funding money in money out type of thing, but I daresay lefties and republicans will always have reasons to oppose them,(last bit not aimed at you personally)

Way I see it I've worked 40yrs so thats around £52. I've had 4 paid extra bank holidays at around £200 a day (apologies to the self employed) in the last 2 years I've made £748 and had extra time with my family, so more than happy. Now if the government said we are disbanding the monarchy and every penny will go back to the British tax payer and public services will benefit I would be the first one to vote them out, but we all know that money would go to lining the nest of the politicians and the parasites that leach of this country. Its shit its wrong but I wouldnt say that view makes me a idiot! 5

There's a clip on GB news on YouTube showing right winger John Clees pissing himself laughing at the coronation. He's not the only right winger who thinks this way. But I accept more leftists oppose the monarchy than the right. Personally, I believe if certain people want to ogle at the Windsors then let them. But I resent the principle that we have to pay for it. That's a real twist of the dagger for me. The words 'left winger' have been twisted by the right wing media to primarily mean LGBT people, environment campaigners sabs and God knows what else. True left wingers are into issues like the NHS, improved pay and conditions, decent pensions and affordable housing. Lefties believe in the unions and point to the tremendous, life changing benefits won by union members over the last century and more. They oppose monstrosities like zero hour contracts and tent cities. There's no doubt that living standards, the NHS ( including dentistry) and housing stock have fallen back over the last 13 years of tory rule. Its no coincidence that union membership has declined as the tories have prospered. They now have a free run to do what they like with the unions too weak to oppose them. The really visible of evidence of tory refusal to fund public services are the roads. The number of potholes make our roads akin to third world roads. But all our public services are in a similar condition. The tories don't give a f**k about the NHS and schools because they use private hospitals and schools. The UK is one of a tiny minority of countries to privatise its water. The result has been millions paid out shareholders and raw sewage regularly discharged into rivers and estuaries. No wonder salmon are in swift decline when they are swimming amongst turds, sanitary towels and contraceptives. The Environment agency may as well not exist as it has no powers to stop this practice. The rich however have done very well under the tories. Stats show they have prospered. That's what the tory party is for...the rich. They have no respect for the poor. Of all the things that annoyed me about party gate including the chucking of millions of pounds to their mates, was some tory twat telling the cleaners to " f**k off" after they had complained about vomit and blood stains on the walls of no 10 after an almighty tory piss up during Covid. That really incensed me...bullying a cleaner. Probably a female cleaner. But that's where we are at. That's the way our pin stripe suited public schoolboys have been taught think about working class people.A government which acts like a criminal gang, looking after their own members and putting two fingers up to the rest of us. The tories have opposed every step forward the working class has ever achieved from pensions, affordable council housing to the NHS to the minimum wage . They have spent the last 13 years running down our public services from libraries to swimming pools to the NHS, Education, roads and environmental standards. A pro Labour supporter with not one single mention of immigration......whos ever heard of such a thing ! It doesnt take a clever person to see that the Tories and everything else that was once considered " right " has taken a huge shift along to the left leaving the traditional right to be viewed " far right " with all the frenzied revulsion that incurs ! It hasnt happened by coincidence, the left can no longer blame the right and vice versa as they are one and the same, both as warped and sickly as each other imo. 9

The way I see it is that the system only works one way and that is to keep the establishment and their cronies well fed at the thoth, yes I know it's the way it's always been but it's wrong from the top to the bottom, the monarchy is just another leach hanging on the throat of every day ordinary working people, a parasite just like the government that doesn't give a Fcuk about it's people. No difference in them.

The thread was about the legitimacy of the monarchy, not immigration. But if you want my thoughts on immigration, and political party support, I am pro old Labour which represented the working class, not keen on Bliar's or Starmer's new Labour. I voted for Brexit to stop uncontrolled immigration. There was too much pressure on housing, the NHS ...and wages were kept low by a continual supply of cheap labour. Nothing against immigrants or their skin colour , that's the preoccupation of the right or the far right. But I am not in favour of uncontrolled immigration. The UK's infrastructure just cannot cope. Not too keen on German,Russian and Greek immigrants who take massive state handouts just to dress up for us and occasionally cut a ribbon. They are clever though, they even change their surname to disguise their German ancestry. They are parasites on hard working true brits imo.
