Whispering Whiskey 66 1,072
Just looking for some advice on animal fats, witch have u guys used when running dogs hard or after they just need a little extra energy, I like to stock up on my dog food while I have the money and meats coming in very cheap for the chest freezer, but also like buying tallow( dripping) in bulk to freeze for winter ahead. So what’s ye thoughts on the stuff. Cheers….( as Stated for the season upcoming (September) onwards before folks jump on the bandwagon. Edited May 2, 2023 by Whispering Whiskey 66 Quote Link to post

TOMO 26,122
I wouldn't worry which to use unless any of them don't agree with your dog.. Beef and lamb are generally both easy going on a dog 3 1 Quote Link to post
sandymere 8,263
All fats are a great dense forms of calories be it tallow, from beef or lamb, lard from pigs or even vegetable oils they'll all give a low bulk calorie boost to winter meals when reqd.
