Was on looking to buy a new filter for the lamp an i see theres an option for an infared filter,anyone use this?

Yeah but you use it looking through night vision. 

Could be talking about different things mind 

Don't bother with lamp filters personally

ive used red filters francie charlie fell for it

Going to try green this season tried red and amber both worked but lot more lamp shy foxes I thought with the red. It might work it might not just think they have seen every Willy nilly using red.

So i could only use the infared lamp filter if i have nightvision,is that what you mean?

Tried all manor and colours over the years, The end result was red is the only one worth a toss, someone tried telling me once that the blue ones were for lamping in fog!!!

For shooting i use red , amber , blue and green but for the dogs filters  reduce the beam
