to dock or not to dock that is the question

Recommended Posts

i personnally will be having any puppies i breed docked as i like to see a terrier with a docked tail not a big hideous curly thing although this makes no difference to the dogs working abilities i prefer a docked tail it really p----s me off to have to put my hand in my pocket to pay a vet for something i have been doing for nearly thirty years with no problems and have to prove to the vet that they are working dogs and then you will probabally end up on some register somewhere for all and sundry to see

Did any-one see the recent Country M \W Show ad for the NLRW? No dog with a docked tail born after April 07 will be shown! What's that all about? :o

from what i understand it it now against the law to "show "a docked born after last april if there is a admission fee into he show ground even if it has a legal docking certificate ,you either work it or show it !!!!! ,these laws are nothing to do with vets ,i have asked a couple of vets ,and they have said they dont report home docked pups as they cant afford to loose the buisness ,and its nothing to do with kennel club ,the new law is from the animal welfair act ,lol this all really pisses me off ,i enjoy breeding and showing and working
