My bull x had lost a bit of hair on the tip of his tail and back legs justt the odd bits here and there i was told my another member to get some horse hoof oil and rub it on every day and he should be back to normal within a few weeks :hmm: has any one ever used this before ?? ferretuk

It's not actual hoof oil that you want, it stuff called "cornucrescine".

 

Yes it's for horses and yes, it goes on their hooves, but it's not actually hoof oil, if that makes sense.

 

 

Will this make the skin grow back?

Hi,

 

I would suggest getting yourself an old leather boot. Remove the tongue and burn it, keep the ashes and mix with a small amount of of stockholm tar until you get a paste like substance not much tar. Rub onto bare patch and hair should grow.

 

An old man of 80 (he knows about horses and thats fact) give me this for treating horses who lost hair through injury or mud rash. It may work on dogs!
