i am the undertaker 1
lakie man i am out all the time diggin all i said was we havent got many foxes around here and i dont see the piont of wholesale slaughter for the sake of it the biggest problem we have apart from the badgers is the rifle boys that come out of bristol shooting everything that moves from there cars/trucks they shoot the deer and are to lazy to get out and go and pick it up they just shoot for the sake of it, total madness it just gets all the huntin boys a bad name, myself i like to see a good variety of wildlife a bit of everything and ill strive to keep the balance theres enough room for it all but we do need a badger cull to get the balance back the worst thing that happened was protecting badgers we never had these problems before the badger act. iam all for pest control but not wholesale slaughter for the sake of it, slaughter only if it needs it everything deserves respect and a chance of life :clapper: True words. i do alot of work for gamekeepers this year up to now we have taken 40 foxes of one shoot i was on phone tonight to my digging mate we were disscussing vixens in cub because we know we are going to come across them very soon and both decided that when we do we would let them go i cant see the sense in killing a vixen heavy in cub hopefully she will survive to raise her cubs for next year Quote Link to post
lakieman 25
as i said before only a bad keeper would have cubs on his shoot and let them live and im sure if the keeper new that you were doing that he wouldnt be amused Quote Link to post
Malt 379
as i said before only a bad keeper would have cubs on his shoot and let them live and im sure if the keeper new that you were doing that he wouldnt be amused Surely a matter of give and take? If the keeper want's you there to control the pests, surely there must be pests there for you to control. Pest control is just that, control, ie keeping the numbers down. That's the way it's been for years. The countryside has been kept in balance for generations, by people that understand it. We'd all be gutted, from a sporting point of view, if all the foxes on our permissions vanished. Quote Link to post

stork 1
I know a keeper that had a group of DIGGERS go on his and said they had done the deed oh no far short they hadn`t got a clue they had 2 terriers die to ground so he took the role on and now there is a balenced numbere of them about the only one that get ablitrated are one near the release pens or rearing field cubs the lot if there away from harming the birds then he will control them.
