Patrick was not Irish. ..he was in fact British...from west coast of mainland Britain. At the age of 16, Patrick was taken prisoner by a group of Irish raiders who were attacking his family’s estate. They transported him to Ireland where he spent six years in captivity. (There is some dispute over where this captivity took place. Although many believe he was taken to live in Mount Slemish in County Antrim, it is more likely that he was held in County Mayo near Killala.)

Saint Patrick’s Day is supposed to be cross community and open to ALL.

Patrick’s mission in Ulster lasted 30 years.  

His ministry was centred around Downpatrick, Armagh and Saul - Ulster.

Patrick is apparently buried at the Anglican Protestant Church of Ireland cathedral in Downpatrick.                                  

 

Patrick never mentioned the Shamrock. It was invented in 1726 by a Protestant minister to represent the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.

Patrick built his first church in Saul (Co down) in 432 AD ..at this site now stands Saint Patrick's church of Ireland                       

 

In Patrick’s confession Patrick tells how he didn't know the Lord before being taken into captivity in Ulster. 

This is exactly the same as a testimony in evangelical Protestant terms.

 

The first people to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day were Ulster Scots Protestants in Boston who held a fundraising dinner in 1737 for Irish Immigrants to the USA, who toasted Saint Patrick and the British King. 

 

The first people to parade on Saint Patrick’s Day were Ulster Scots members of the British army. Many were also members of the Orange Order - This happened in New York in 1767.             

 

Patrick was not celebrated in Ireland until the 1930's. Patrick is also the Patron Saint of Nigeria after Protestant evangelical missionaries took the biblical Gospel to Nigeria.

 Patrick never wore green. ..Green was the colour of the Irish National Movement in the 1700's. 

The actual colour associated with Patrick was blue.

Patrick's Christian message was open to ALL

Aint that true, soon the irish will move away from hating the brits and onto the camel jockeys, and if they dont they will soon be on their knees facing mecca, these lazy invaders are not here to work or assimilate to the irish culture they are here to scrounge, pump out kids, be offended by everything not islam and to take over, all assisted by the government and so called irish freedom fighters in the republican movement. Now what those peoples are stealthily inflicting on theyre own peoples is worse than the british will have done. God help Ireland in the next 2 years
