Whether they had a common ancestor 6 or 8 generations back is irrelevant….. Most men who know these lines would spot a dogs breeding by seeing them or seeing their traits without knowing the actual ped. Linebreeding is a way of fixing in certain traits by genes repeating on each other........breeding 2 unrelated dogs who have a common ancestor 6 generations back is like playing the genetic lottery the chances of certain traits and characteristics repeating on each other is in the millions to one.
