I know gamedogs are not to many peoples tastes but a great dogman is a great dogman regardless so on a working dog forum just wanted to pay respects after hearing of the passing of The Plymouth Rock M

Im guessing that would be Nikki ?.....of folk who were around in the late 80's who i may occasionally still have a natter with most say she was the best bitch they ever saw.

Always nice when a good one has the looks too

i get what your saying mate but linebreeding is breeding dogs that have an outstanding common ancestor which these did 6 generation ago which isn’t a lot really and there heavily inbred to that common ancestor

no the parents were inbred they have an outstanding common ancestor 6 generations ago that’s linebreeding

Inbreeding and linebreeding are exactly the same thing ..

Just because they have a common ancestor so many generations ago doesn't mean there the same line .

inbreeding is breeding close mother son siblings etc on average a heavy inbred dog won’t perform

linebreeding is breeding related dogs but further back in the pedigree

in this case they were 2 heavily inbred lines of dogs put together that were from the same family tree how you get the real uns

not to mention dogs like spook pyliss spooky alligator dibo and more in there multiple times

There two heavily inbred lines who went down different routes to accentuate different traits, crossed together to achieve better performance. Whether they had a common ancestor 6 or 8 generations back is irrelevant…..

Most men who know these lines would spot a dogs breeding by seeing them or seeing their traits without knowing the actual ped. That’s how different they are even with an ancestor back 6 or 8 generations.

No......it isnt......linbreeding is breeding closely related individuals not some random common dog from 6 generations back.

Linebreeding is a way of fixing in certain traits by genes repeating on each other........breeding 2 unrelated dogs who have a common ancestor 6 generations back is like playing the genetic lottery the chances of certain traits and characteristics repeating on each other is in the millions to one.

Again,90% of the Apbt breed trace back to Tudors Dibo....is the entire breed line bred ?.....its a silly argument mate

90 percent trace to dibo who shoes up over and over then they are a family a dogs ain’t they

when the dog 6 generations back shows up 2 dozen times it’s influence will come threw

linebreeding is breeding dogs 3 generations and further back
