Wheres the breaks

Hiya!

So on the Left foot (counting from the dewclaw outwards) toes 1 and 2 are broken. The bones on Toe 2 are particularly misshapen - if you compare to the X-ray of her right foot.

However, these two toes are not the toes that has ‘sprung’ that’s penny’s third toe (which you can sort of see sticking out a bit further on the X-ray)

We’re waiting to hear back from the vets about how it can be managed. But in the mean time Penny has been on pain relief and the ‘sprung’ toe I originally posted about has started going back to its normal position, it’s just a bit swollen

Thanks for all the responses.
Just to update you, we had an X-ray this week at the vets and it’s shown that Penny has two broken toes. So we’re now awaiting a decision from the vets on how they will remedy this.

That’s actually dislocated joints from what I can see .Too late to do anything about that now .She will be fine .Be careful on giving her painkillers tbh .Dogs don’t realise they should be limping but the pain killers will mask the pain and she will run about as per norm .Limping is natural to keep weight off .Does my head in when vets prescribe pain killers for leg injuries .
