shooter747 22
i Guys, went out this afternoon to a local shoot about 7 miles from my home, todays airgun of choice my Daystate Huntsman in .20 cal ,i just love shooting this airgun the shoot is on the site of a large mansion house, where i have been shooting on for 20 + years so i know every inch of its 3 acres of gardens, paddocks x2 and copses of trees, the main problem being tree rats , i must have shot over the years100.s of the grey rats, anyway i arrived at about 1pm and made my way to one of my two feeders, now i have good natural cover with laurel bushes covering the feeder 20yds to my front ,i settled down on my camping stool with primos trigger sticks, the feeders are topped up by the land owner, now there are two large dreys in near by trees , so should be some customers soon a 30 min wait saw my 1st diner arrive he was shown to to his table and some nice peanuts the tree rat settled and was enjoying his lunch when a.20 pellet smacked him right through the side of its head , he fell out of his chair stone dead.!! another wait for things to settle down, saw a jay feeding now i do not shoot them as very few around this area , any way another 15 mins saw guest no-2 arrive and duly despatched for bad table manners shot this time right between its eyes it did a great back flip off the feeder, x3 more arrived and evicted over the next 90 mins, packed up had a coffee with the owners on their very nice patio , i have known this family for nearly 30 yrs they are like old friends a good natter , the tree rats are put on the rubbish heap site , foxes/ badgers will ensure they are gone overnight, a great session and x5 more tree rats gone .!! atb brian 1 Quote Link to post
