paulus 26
Anyway back on topic, Do these idiots believe by banning falconry then all red and amber list birds would make an immediate recovery! Licenses to take certain species of birds have been in the falconry world for over 50 years that i know too, In fact back then you could even apply for a license to take birds of prey from the wild. Again its a left wing, woke, knee jerk reaction without the bigger picture being looked at.
mackem 27,066
Ridiculous analogy, fox hunting and falconry,a way of life slowly being eroded and demolished bit by bit.

Just some of what you write. It's a forum, people disagree. You sometimes have views which are different from mine and occasionally write content which I believe to be untrue. So I have my say and you have yours. Newcastle are 2-0 down at home to Liverpool, and our ‘keeper has been sent off in the first half and will miss next weeks cup final…… do you really think arguing on THL is amongst my highest priorities? Cheers.
BEARINATOR 2,872
Been reading about it and seems they just realised sky larks and that are flown by smaller birds like Merlin’s and that, been happening for years and the greatest threats to little birds are predation and foreign people shooting them abroad as food 4

Ground nesting birds are ravaged by badgers, fox`s and again corvids along with buzzards. But lets forget about that and pretend everything is Great in our countryside, except for these pesky falconers killing small birds.

They take it really seriously. Loads of untrained dogs running wild, gun safety typically greek, lots of excitement and loads of dead songbirds. They just left their cartridges where they fell. I thought it was comical. But hey, we shouldn't criticise. It's their country, their tradition. But I agree they kill more songbirds than some brit with a merlin.

Squirrel_Basher 17,100
It’s just another go at the traditional countryside .Makes not a jot of difference to any song bird numbers what’s taken by legal falconry means .It’s the man they are targeting ,the man who enjoys watching his dog ,his bird his ferret hunt as nature intended.Forget any other chant as it’s just not true or we’d see a bop mass cull ,a mustelid cull and all dogs would be licensed to walk in fenced areas only .It’s silly and backward to think they arnt having a direct go at eliminating us from the countryside and installing those think otters and foxes just eat grass . Boils my piss all this shit . 7

And said by those that have no idea about how much actual conservation goes in to the countryside by hunters shooters ect rebuilding stone walls arranging set aside controlling predators on birds such as lapwings curlews ect I have yet to see a anti even breaking ice in winter so ducks can swim or feed or feeding song birds on farms most wouldn't know difference between a sparrow hawk and a peregrine

dodger 2,765
So they want to ban falconry now due to songbirds yet masses of cats are allowed to roam free while not even needing to wear a bell on there collar 5
