Lamb protection

Recommended Posts

Popped up to the sheep farm last night as she has started lambing and there is a few outside in the fields.

Set up in a rough field with a stream running through it and some gorse which has produced very well in the past. Started with rabbit and vixen calls which produced nothing so changed to dog fox mating call which had an instant response.

This fox was coming in meaning business , not happy that he had a rival on his patch which was his undoing. A decent size dog , obviously gay as not interested in the ladies ?

Always a busy time during lambing, I don't deny, I find it fascinating and rewarding, scanning the sheep field at night and removing that fox amongst them!

Always a fulfilling and satisfying moment!

:good:
