Guest reload
Had a full day planned for saturday, a cracking thin hedgeline with lots of evidence of rabbits. We started up wit a few longnets through the hedges......ferrets in and waited and waited........couple bolted and missed by dogs and nets....!! This was the start of a very long session, only accounting for only 2 rabbits and several lay ups in undiggerble spots....all in all a boring as feck session..looking for layed up ferrets with no collars....!!! We uped sticks and did a few open burys on the tops, which were more productive. Headed to another bit of ground by lunchtime, few nice burys around a barn and a pond....... This spot made up for the poor morning... The cover was heavey round the pond..... love it I had a few hours free this morning so decideed to head out again, to a spot i was meaning to do the day before, but we didnt get over this way.. Nice hedge which alwys has a few in it, layed the longnets, between where they run and the warrens worked well. Had a few digs A rabbit poked its headout of a hole witha ferret up its arse, i reached in as the rabbit slipped back inside, But i grabbed something furry, they felt the pain in my hand............It was a well pissed off ferret.......thats the first time I have been properly bit by a ferret...... So the total for 6 hours Saturday....a very hard won 7, total for a hour and a half Sunday 6... Good hunting Reload Quote Link to post
