paulus 26
The moon completes one full rotation on its axis in the time it takes to orbit the Earth. That means the same side is always turned toward us.
jok 3,187
Oh go on Paulus spoil the thread with superior knowledge. Give the lads and lasses a chance to be in laughing mode. I’ll start. We were on RAF Upper Heyford when a Red Warning went off. Everyone were locked in as the flight of F1/11 ‘s went off which in itself was something to behold. Eventually calm was restored and we were in the PX when a lady came in, quite distressed. The long and short of it was that she was now watching a shot on TV of the moon and it was explained that her husband and fellow crew member ere indeed on the dark side of the moon. Well, we did not laugh loudly but it was quite amusing in an awkward kind of way. Jok.

I was thinking about your electric stuff you put on,think about this one, what if the electromagnetic field of the earth is gravity? There are four forces in the known universe, Francie. Gravity, Electromagnetism, Weak nuclear, Strong nuclear. The "Holy Grail" of physics is to find a "connection" between all four. Up to now, physicists have managed to do this, in theory, with electromagnetism, weak nuclear and strong nuclear. This is known as the "Grand Unifying Theory" or "G.U.T". To "connect" those three with gravity is known as the " Theory Of Everything" or "T.O.E.". No one has came near to it, and some say it can never be done. Hope this helps. And so endeth the lesson...... Cheers. Edited January 6, 2023 by chartpolski 4 2
