jukel123 7,978
Fickle football! Read a couple of articles suggesting Eddie Howe is heading for the sack, as is EHT at United. If the former is true, its the Geordies loss. EHT will probably get the push. He did fantastic last year, but he was allowed to sign players of his own limited choosing...f****n Anthony for eighty million! Which even by United's discombobulated recruitment strategy is farcical.Still, if a half decent backroom staff were present, they would have put the brakes on that monumental mistake. The days of a manager single handedly picking players to sign are long gone in the the best run clubs. It's too important a role for one individual. Although the manager imo, should always have a big say. The new man, Ratcliffe ,is a hard nosed, mother f****n, super capitalist, so he will no doubt tighten up all sorts of slack at United. But I'm not holding my breath for a new Fergie era. If it ever does come,I will be pushing up daisies for sure. Its going to take a decade or more. Sadly I reckon they’ve chased good money after bad and I don’t see much else other than a complete and utter cull of the majority . It’s horrific to see . it’s completely reminiscent of those horrifying Liverpool sides of the 90s and early 00s who were full of past their best legends and total charlatans who should have Been nowhere near the club . Theirs a serious argument to be made that Liverpool rescued themselves with the influx of local talent who knew at least what it meant to be a red man . Fowler , gerrard , Owen , carragher etc . when you look at United in a microcosm in paper they work . But imho they need a far more powerful character in charge than the past few . A cappello type who will simply not accept the likes of sancho and rashfords which way the wind blows attitude. Financially though , it may not be palatable There’s a long road to be walked there . 1

Howe hasn’t lost the players, and possibly just as important, the supporters. The owners aren’t stupid, if they sack Howe now, they risk losing both and any new manager coming in would be in a difficult position. If we lose the next three games, Liverpool, Sunderland and Aston Villa, the crowd could turn on Howe and that would give the owners the excuse to go for Morinhio who appears to be waiting in the wings. It might come down to who we buy in January, but not one supporter I know wants Kalvin Philips, the opinion is if he can’t get a game for City, why should we break the wage structure for him ? To paraphrase the Chinese saying; “ we Newcastle supporters live in interesting times .” ! Cheers.

You have got hard fixtures. Even if you lose them all. The board should stick with Howe imo.

I don’t agree with that , I’d personally say mourinho is arguably tailor made for Newcastle

Yes he had a quick effect but his shine begins to tarnish after a season or two. He lived in a hotel all the time he was at United. He never intended to build anything, it was just a flying visit. He then engineered his exit and a pay off by continually publicly criticising players..even humiliating them. Shaw, one of our best players was given dog's abuse by Mourhino. I think he's history now. There are a lot of better managers out there. He comes with a lot of baggage. Its all about him. Never the team or the supporters. But the Geordies have got a brilliant manager, they are just going through a bad spell.I think the board and the supporters know that. So , I’ll answer that with one sentence . “what has Eddie Howe won in comparison to Jose mourinho ? “ jose up there , with the inevitable Abraham and greenwood up top would turn Newcastle into the uk’s most disliked club over night . which plays right into the hands of Jose. shaw was fat and overweight at the time and was struggling with his stamina in games, truthfully hand in heart , has shaw improved as a player since the euros final ? as I’ve said before , Jose is tailer made for nufc .

The new owners have only been here 5 minutes and we have not won anything to attract new fans, merely played some nice football. The only reason St. James' Park was not being filled under Mike Ashley was because of some fans' opinion of Mike Ashley. Rightly or wrongly, depending on your opinion, some old fans chose to stay away. Now those old fans are back and the ground is sold out every game. I do hope we get new fans though, that would mean that have started winning things. All are welcome. It's only a game.
Blackmag 6,067
I watched the highlights before of Everton city is that really handball the ball being hit at you from such a close distance not for me and the second one if it's offside why let play carry on when there's a risk to players being injured as was the case last night who actually makes theses rules up
