Nah, I've lived a long time. I remember a lot of players. Keane was good but not great imo.

Stiff, if you were a manager and had to choose between Souness and Keane . Who would you pick? Keane and Bryan Robson? Keane or Bobby Charlton?

A different point, Rice is very overated when compared with midfielders of the past. For beginners, he doesn't score enough goals. Compare him the likes of Frank Lampard. His fee was delusional. I get that Lampard was less a defensive midfielder but Rice's goal  ontribution makes his fee seem daft to me.

Keane is above robson imho purely as he wasn’t injured every 5 mins , that’s the true comparative there as the others were all very different players

don’t know why your on about rice , the transfers are what the current market is at , that’s it in reality , not really much sway with that . Looks at pogba for example

The way we've treated Moyse is f****n disgusting....im not against a new manager it probably is the right time but theres ways of doing things and the man deserves respect and a good send off yet we'v

West Ham fans in town all day and not a murmur until wives/families get attacked by " ultras " at the game itself.....embarrassing !! There was a handful of chaps on each stairwell stopping them

My Hammers will struggle this year ,some fans want Moyse gone but personally i cant see the point we have a manager thats proved he can improve the club, owners willing to throw money at it.....at what

Robson played 737.. goals 147

Keane played 676 ... goals 87

Robson was voted Man U greatest ever player but Man U supporters.

Robson had everything mate.

Declan Rice is a player mate, have no doubt in your mind about that !

And, with all due respect you are not making much sense ?

For starters Lampard was an 8 and Rice is a 6.

Lampard was playing in a team of absolute killers and Rice (at 24) has spent his entire career at a club who’s sole goal is staying up every year and hopefully grabbing 10th (as a rule of thumb)

Rice has had 6 games under a coach who will possibly give him the freedom to get forward more but his role is bigger.

Every team needs a Dunga, the uninitiated don’t really notice the Dunga type players but their contribution is essential.

I have said since I watched Rice playing Cheltenham away when he was about 19 that the lad is so good you don’t notice him…..everything he does is simple in an age where everyone wants to be seen doing the impossible.
Simple is a hard skill ;)

I watched a video of Rice driving passes 50 yds into a goal the size of a wash bin !!……and I mean pinging them.

Lads a baller mate, clubs like Arsenal don’t cough up a hundred million quid on empty tracksuits pal ;)

Understand what you are saying and I will be the first to hold my hands up if he develops into a top top player. At the moment ,for me,he has a way to go.

Of course he has, but give him a chance…..he has done nothing but fight fires and protect a back 4 for the last 5 years ! Lol

You are not comparing like with like. Keane played with far more gifted players than Robson.

Alan Shearer's trophy  cabinet has cobwebs in it and is haunted by a ghost wailing "shudda signed for a bigger club, shudda signed for a bigger club".

No is disputing captain fantastic however you’re also moving the goalposts significantly, shearer maybe pilotless but touted as a people’s champion in one club . Ronaldo thought nothing of loyalty’s to fans and moved freely over two of the worlds biggest rivalries without a second thought to chase money and glory . Think he cares?

Shearer's achievement in topping the premier league goal, scoring record is  phenomal. Hats off to him for scoring that number of goals in a bum team. But I am sure he must think..." What if?" OK he is a god on Tyneside  but the history books record trophies not the adoration  of fans.

I was astonished to see Kane move to Germany. He had a good chance of beating that record. Maybe it means more to fans than players.

You’re a long time dead , and before that you have a long time to reflect on your regrets . Personally I think kane was on his bike a few seasons ago and now , with a new unknown in reality manager in , was the perfect line in the sand for him to him to close the lid at Tottenham and line his shelves .

He wants to win things and currently UTD, even with Kane wouldn't....his move to City fell through and that would've killed him as it was his only chance of winning big title in this country...Levy f****d him imo 2 years ago

As a UTD fan its a hard decision between Robbo and Keane, I'm younger than Jukel and not from the area, but Robson was my favourite player as a kid...he had the lot... but so did Keane, forget stats, Keane was a monster in the midfield, a proper player and respected by everyone who played with or against him... I'm surprised at the remark about not technically gifted!! He was 2 footed, good in the air, could tackle, beat a player, arrive late in the box to score, score from outside of the box, lead a team better than anyone ..nah he was very very gifted

Shearer scored a fair whack at Blackburn as well mate... plus the side he played in at Newcastle was perhaps the most attack minded and entertaining side ever in  the Prem .. ginola, ferdinand, asprilla, Albert...he had some service!!
